Weaving the Words was an exhibition and a series of workshops. I curated the exhibition and also participated as an artist. The project aimed to connect women through textile crafts such as weaving. The exhibition was a group exhibition featuring four female artists: Femke Schaap, Rosa Smits, Isfrid Angard Siljehaug, and myself Pernille Lonstrup. As the curator of the exhibition, I focus on female artists whose works reflected on weaving and language, highlighting the historical significance of weaving as a means for women to communicate and express their voice. As an artist, I contributed to the exhibition with my Newspaper Weavings, which ran as a common theme throughout the exhibition. In addition to the exhibition, I also organized six workshops where women came together to practice textile crafts such as weaving, knitting, and crocheting.

The project was supported by Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, De Schepper Delft Stichting and Het Cultuurfonds.
